Housing + Health Collaborative

Who is the Bastrop County Collaborative for Housing + Health?
The Bastrop County Collaborative for Housing + Health (BCCHH) exists to engage Bastrop County residents in designing solutions and policies to encourage the development of more safe and affordable housing as a pathway to a healthier county for all. The Collaborative was formed by local governments and nonprofit organizations, and funded by a generous grant from the St. David’s Foundation, who all recognized that the shortage of affordable housing is a growing national crisis that has come to Bastrop County and that too many of us lack access to safe, well-constructed, and affordable homes, or fear losing our homes due to rising costs. The Collaborative believes we need to take action now to design solutions and policies for the future that ensure our youth, seniors, veterans, working families, and essential workers have the housing they need to support their health and well-being. Bastrop County Public Health Department has been honored to serve as the lead agency coordinating the Collaborative in its first year, 2025.
